In 2002, we opened Nicky D’s Crowley at 1605 Hwy 1187 in what used to be an old service station. What once pumped gas now serves some of the best burgers in Texas. We’re Nick and Tammy Danelski, and our dream was simple—create a place where great food, warm service, and family feeling come together. From the start, we wanted every guest to feel like they were coming home.

Nick started working in kitchens at age 13, scrubbing dishes and learning the ropes. It didn’t take long to realize he was born to cook. Years later, that passion turned into Nicky D’s—a burger spot that blends Chicago roots with Texas soul. Tammy joined the journey not just as a partner in business, but in life. Together, we've created a place where food and family go hand in hand.

Tammy didn’t love Chicago winters, so we moved to Texas and opened Nicky D’s in her hometown.
